LYRIC SINGERS GOING VIRTUAL

The Lyric Theatre Singers will hold a virtual Christmas concert for the second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show, Candlelight Christmas Together Again, will be streamed for free on Facebook and Youtube from Dec. 16 to 19. “We were able to rehearse together, to record new songs together, with musicians, and to film together, always following public health rules” artistic director Bob Bachelor said. “Despite the challenges, the Singers were able to be creative and rediscover their musical connections in the most positive and life-affirming way. They have a new-found strength and vibrancy.” The Lyric Theatre Singers were based in the West Island from 1965 to 1985 before setting their performances in various downtown Montreal venues.
